Light Blue

A beautiful soft blue by American utility vehicle manufacturer GMC from 1964. Simply named Light Blue and deliberately presented without a frame, the work underscores material purity and minimalism, with the artist’s signature in the lower right corner as its only visible mark.
Part of The Color Project series, this work exemplifies Holsheimer’s practice of decontextualizing colour on canvas to reveal its aesthetic and energetic resonance. The artist’s use of centuries-old primer recipes further contributes to the work’s distinctive, natural feel.
